Eligibility & Requirements
Grant applications to the Hersh Foundation are by invitation only. For new organizations wishing to receive funding, please mail a one page letter of inquiry with a summary of the grant request and a copy of your 501(c)(3) to:

Letters of inquiry are accepted throughout the year.
Funding decisions will be made on a quarterly basis.
Grant Funding Restrictions
The following organizations are ineligible for funding from The Hersh Foundation:
- Other private foundations
- Individuals or families
- Faith based organizations or initiatives where the primary purpose is to promote religious doctrine or tenets
- Political organizations, political candidates, lobbyists or related organizations
- Fraternal or social groups, athletic teams, bands or similar organizations
- International organizations that are not qualified under the U.S. IRS regulations
- Agencies that redistribute grant funds to nonprofits
